Yes. VitaNova offers secure telepsychiatry services across Nevada. In-person visits and Deep TMS treatments are available at the Northwest Reno location.

Appointments are intentionally unrushed:
Initial Comprehensive Evaluation: 75–90 minutes
Follow-ups: 30–45 minutes
Deep TMS sessions: typically 20–25 minutes, 5 days per week during the active treatment phase (session length and frequency may vary depending on protocol and clinical needs)

Every new patient completes a comprehensive laboratory panel as part of the initial evaluation to identify contributors such as iron or folate deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, or hormone imbalance that can affect mood, energy, sleep , cognition, and treatment response.
Integrative psychiatry is not alternative or anti-medication care. Medications are prescribed when clinically indicated, and all treatment decisions follow established psychiatric guidelines.

Yes. VitaNova provides outpatient medication-based treatment for specific substance use disorders when clinically appropriate, including:
Alcohol Use Disorder
Opioid Use Disorder, including treatment with FDA-approved medication such as buprenorphine/Suboxone
VitaNova does not provide detoxification or manage active withdrawal.
If you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms or require a higher level of care, please seek immediate evaluation at the nearest emergency room or a dedicated detox facility.

Controlled medications are prescribed when clinically appropriate and aligned with best-practice guidelines.
Some controlled substances cannot be prescribed via telehealth alone and may require an in-person visit depending on regulations.
VitaNova also practices controlled-substance compliant care when clinically indicated.

VitaNova focuses on advanced psychiatric care, metabolic evaluation, and neuromodulation. The practice does not provide weekly psychotherapy, but may integrate brief psychotherapy during visits and collaborate with a client’s therapist as needed.

All new patients begin with a Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation which includes an in-depth clinical assessment, review of medical and psychiatric history, sleep and stress evaluation, and relevant metabolic or hormonal considerations.
This evaluation includes a foundational laboratory panel that is completed before the first appointment.

VitaNova may not be an appropriate setting for individuals who require a higher level of care or services outside the practice scope, including:
Individuals under age 18 (exception for Deep TMS)
Those requiring PHP, IOP, residential, or inpatient care
Active suicidal ideation with intent and/or plan
Active psychosis
Uncontrolled bipolar mania or hypomania
Eating disorders requiring structured or higher-level treatment (high-risk)
Substance use disorders requiring detox or formal programming
Court-ordered evaluations
Clients seeking benzodiazepines or controlled substances as the primary goal
When a client’s needs fall outside our scope, VitaNova provides appropriate referrals whenever possible.
